Re: Why did you swap your engine?

Well... my 1.8 decided it might be fun to snap a rod while I was doing about a buck forty on the highway. So I just tell them my engine blew up so why not?

I wouldn't suggest going my route tho, unless you're a little mentally unbalanced. :freak:

Re: Anyone near Alhambra California ? I think we have some s

Forget about the bumper man, they obviously don't wanna send it too you or else they would have done so by now. Get the Po involved before it's too late. Get your money back and get a bumper somewhere else. Scammers should be publicly humiliated and beaten.

Re: Interior paintingquestion to those who have tryed it

All good info so far, just don't rush anything. And the more clear coat the better. My cardomain page has some shots of my white accents and then my chrome ones. Problem with the chrome paint though was when you put a clear on it the paint lost all of it's reflectivity. So I got it sprayed in some s...

Re: removing ecu speed/rev limiter

You running a ZE ECU? There was a post not too long ago about that. Basically you gotta cut the wire running to the ECU that tells it what speed you're doing. It runs to PIN 1M, I think the wire was Black with a white stripe. Terminal #1 is the one closest to the firewall if my memory serves me righ...

Re: Replacing rear brake pads

Oh, and about pushing the piston. There's a couple notches on the surface of the piston, you'll see them when you get the caliper off, you should be able to move it in by grabbing the notches with some large needle-nose pliers and turning it clockwise. If they're real stiff you may need a C-Clamp. B...

Re: Replacing rear brake pads

I'm assuming you haven't managed to remove the caliper, you need to remove it to get at the rear pads. You might be able to do it without disconnecting the brake line but I can't remember for sure, I painted my calipers when I did my brakes last so I had everything pulled apart. There's one bolt hol...

Re: has anyone rebuilt rear brake calipers

well, around here you can get all the little bits to rebuild your caliper for about $80. I know cause I needed some new dust boots and all I could order at the dealer was the whole package. Never overhauled one yet though, but considering how often my rear calipers stick on me you can't beat that pr...

Re: Latest pic of the slowest MX-3 on earth

Yeah, I generally wash my car once a week. Maybe every two weeks if the weather's clear and it ain't gettin too dirty. Right now tho I've washed it 3 times in the past week, just got it painted and it keeps raining! The sun hasn't been out once yet so I haven't even had a chance to see it shine.

Congrats, gettin the right ecu is the only way to go. I hope you weren't runnin like that too long. I think I had my K8 ECU for about a month and a half. I didn't drive the car much though, but it was still a pretty big hole in my pocket. :rant2:

Re: ne on ever think of using these for a set of projectors?

They look short but I don't think they are. I've seen plenty up close when I was temping @ Toyota for a bit, I've never checked em side by side with mx lights but I'm pretty sure they'd be a bit too wide before too short. *Might* be do-able if you could shave off that pointy corner by the high-beam.

Windshield Washer Nozzles On Wiper Arms

I recently got my car re-sprayed, and had a few things shaved down, one of which was the washer nozzles. I ran some wiper squirters from a buick I got outta a scrap yard and now my pump is sounding quite a bit louder when I use em. I used the same diameter hose up until the T fitting but had to use ...

Wow, looking real nice. I wish my IM and valve cover were that shiny, well, they're gettin there. I gotta put a lot of metal polish and elbow grease into 'em.
