Re: Any Benefits To A Larger Size Rim & Low Profile Tire
ok, first off, the size of the rim has NOTHING to do with unsprung weight, acceleration numbers, etc. its all about the weight. if you have a 15 lb stock rim, and a tire weighing 13 lbs, you have a total weight of 28 lbs of rotating mass. if you properly size the rim and tire to match the diameter o...

WTB: K8 heads with lower mileage
just like the title says, I am looking for a set of K8 heads, with lower mileage, under 80K, for sale, hopefully within driving distance of Flint Michigan. My seals are shot, and rather than replace just those, I figure I would just replace the heads, since I have to do the head gaskets also. Email ...

Re: center console removal..help plz
ok, you have to remove the surround around the radio first, pull out the ashtray, and under it there are two screws. remove them, and it should pop off (trying to remember). after that, there are either 2 or 4 plastic screw retainers ( 1 or 2 on each side) down by the floor on the center stack, remo...

Re: Low-speed vibration
I would say it is almost definitely the bearing. I had my cavalier do that, I went through three bearings in about 6 months (not packed properly at the factory)they were sealed units, with the bearing, hub, studs all in one unit, over 140 dollars a pop. but it all started with a humming/grinding noi...

Re: where to buy forged internals for the 1.8
ok, how much and where at can I get forged internals for the 2.5 out of a Probe. I really don't want to pay the money for a JDM engine when I am just tearing it apart and rebuilding the bottom end anyways. Also, I heard that the MX-6 or the 626 5 speed comes with a LSD, is this true? with the power ...

where to buy forged internals for the 1.8
does anyone know who makes forged pistons and connecting rods for the K8? I am going to start a project, but I need to find the internals first. I have looked everywhere. thanks for the help. Aaron p.s. don't try telling me its not worth it, any engine can make power if you know what you are doing.

looking for prices on K8's, does not need to be running
just need prices, getting ready to build an engine, and I want prices for the 1.8, and 2.5 engines, preferrably not running, to make it cheaper, since I am rebuilding anyways. Thanks guys and gals.

Michigan and surrounding areas (meet)
just wondering what kind of interest there is in this area, I am in Central Michigan, about an hour and twenty minutes west of Port Huron, so the Canadian guys would be able to come to if they were interested. Also, its not just for MX-3's, although I just bought one and would like to see some other...

Does anyone have this???
I want to see a pic of the Corksport hatch shade/garnish that they modelled after the Mazdaspeed one. I think I want to get that and stick with the stock GS wing, but I need to see pics of it first. And before you flame me, I did a search, and came up with 300 matches, looked through all of them, an...

humming noise over 55 mph
I replaced my passenger side half shaft, when I did it, the inner CV hub was stuck in the car, so I removed the shaft and the outer hub by snipping the CV boot band, and replaced the shaft and the outer hub (the outer hub was the bad one). Now, if I go over 55, SOMETIMES I have a humming noise, no v...
