humming noise over 55 mph

I replaced my passenger side half shaft, when I did it, the inner CV hub was stuck in the car, so I removed the shaft and the outer hub by snipping the CV boot band, and replaced the shaft and the outer hub (the outer hub was the bad one). Now, if I go over 55, SOMETIMES I have a humming noise, no vibration, just the noise. Does anyone have a clue what this could be, or if I should worry? Never had this happen before. Thanks for the help in advance.
