Re: head unit or amp to power speakers?

Also, 50w for the head unit is the most they could ever dream of it putting out. So, it really will only put out between 10-15w.

Re: Why B6T than BPT

Also, is there any way to avoid the problem of breaking the transmission if you have a BPT w/ Protege transmission. I hear it is the strongest setup, but it still breaks. I know breaking stuff is inevitable, but what can be done to put off fate?
I've already had to deal with breakng a transmissio...

Re: Sound's like a belt squeekin'?? Help!

If you have to replace the belts do it yourself. It's a piece of cake. For each belt you only need to tighten and loosen a screw.

Re: WTB: dohc four cyl throttle body.

The 6cyl. throttle body fits the B6. So, it should fit the B6T. The 6cyl. throttle body is similar except you can bore it out more to 65mm. Look: web page

Re: crazy idle

I think my oxygen sensor is going bad too. On my MAF sensor the wires were messed up and it wouldn't run well at all, why rpms would drop really fast when I let off the gas. I went to a shop to get my timing belt done and they fixed the MAF with some epoxy for $40. That's fixed, but still the idle j...

Re: crazy idle

As far as the brake goes, I don't know about that. I don't have that problem.

Re: crazy idle

nothing changed. I have a feeling it is the weak alternator + some other unfixable problem. Maybe the ecu is just slightly retarded. I've noticed that the problem magnifies if I'm listening to my stereo, and ever since I got my sub it got really bad.
A recommendation to temporarily help is to lea...

Re: JDM MX-3's

I've been watching these. I didn't believe it at first, but if you read into it more it sounds like the do go in and out. If you look at the control pad thing there is an extra button. The auction says,"The cool part is that these mirrors retract or fold closed with the touch of a button. Touch...

Re: "POP" sound,joint shaft?

Agreed. You can get it done at some places for $120/each. It's not real hard to do yourself, but some pieces slipped on my transmission when i was changing the fluid and I had to get new transmission. Try not to accelerate alot when turning, because it will cause it to break quicker and your car wil...

Why B6T than BPT

I understand the differences in the engines, but was wondering why many of you decide to do the B6T swap instead of the BPT swap. There is a significant difference in HP. Is it the price? Is it easier to do? Why???
[ February 06, 2002: Message edited by: justin h ]

Re: Body Work Est.

If there aren't any chips in the paint I would say, go with paintless dent remover. They generally charge by panel. I have someon my door and a few on the back fender, and I was told it would cost $100 ($50 each panel). Also, I would try to find a person who removes the dents at dealerships, because...
