Re: Stuck Power window permanent fix thread

Use a teflon based spray lubricant for the track, I found that it works much better over time than any other dry lube, I have used it even in heavy duty applications since I am a heavy equipment tech and use the stuff regularly on large equipment I gave it a shot on the track and it works very well....

Re: Rear Defrost sucks all of a sudden

Yeah the fuse was meant as a backup not a fix to prevent the relay from burning up, what I did was replace the relay with a better relay with higher current capability and cut the factory plug off and wired in the new one. I was paranoid about it so I just wired in the inline as a backup.

Re: What engine do i have

take a pic of it and we will see if we can help you out, there are lots of posts on identifying a klze on here just search it, also a klde has a straight neck intake manifold whereas the k8de has a curved neck, a klze can have either straight or curved depending on which one you got. Externally they...

Re: Rear Defrost sucks all of a sudden

If by fuse you mean relay, yeah it should help it from burning again. yes that is what I meant, I fused the relay for the rear defrost on the constant power side to prevent the burning of that relay with a 20 amp inline fuse. The relays is socket specific so using a regular relay will not work unle...

Re: Rear Defrost sucks all of a sudden

a bad relay can make it work like crap if there is high resistance internally in the relay, high resistance makes for low current, the relays are right up under the dash drivers side right towards the firewall area, its easy to see if you get under there with a light.

Re: the reason the rear defrost relay burns up with a perm f

I ended up wiring in an inline 20 amp fuse to the constant power wire on the relay soldering and shrink tubing the connections to protect it, worked great for me and no more burnt relay, fuse burns out before relay does if there are any issues with the rear defrost. I also fixed a friends mx3 that h...

You started at the right place with plugs, wires, cap, rotor. Also check the air filter make sure its clean and if the oil has not been changed in a long time d...

Re: Need help; Crazy coolant blockage

Have you ever ran rad stop leak in the car? as an option you could attempt running a strong clr mix through it to see if its scale buildup. I once ran into a waterpump that had rotted away and clogged the cooling system a few years ago on another car but it ran and sounded fine aside from the overhe...

Re: my beloved mx3 got smashed

yeah I wish they had cut me a cheque already missed out an a klze swapped mx6 complete with headers and exhaust. Problem I run into here is what they want for a decent mx3 lol, overpriced is the name of the game for used cars here unless you are on top of it all the time, not sure if I am going to g...

Re: my beloved mx3 got smashed

Car is a total loss, frame rails are bent, hatch area is bowed out at the sides, rear bumper supports are bent inwards, hatch is done. I went down to sgi today where they inspected the car and dude said no way no how its gonna be road worthy for a resonable price. Car is folded every so slightly for...

Re: starting issue! need help.

mitmaks hit it, coolant temp sensor is more than likely out of whack, change the 2 wire one not the 1 wire coolant temp sensor, I had this issue a few years ago, changed it and good to go, there is a resistance spec on them in the manuals, and I did post them on here a few times.

Re: Adding additional lighter

wire it into the original lighter plug if its a low current draw item, if not wire it to the fuse panel using a bp/hha busmann fuse tap available at canadian tire, princess auto etc, gives you a really nice safe fuse tap for the power source, as for mounting well inside the arm rest pocket works wel...

Re: Yet another attempted break in...

Simple theft deterrent is an electric fence kit wired to the body, touch the car poof nice little shock to smarten them up. You can set it for around 8000 volts or so enough to give them a nasty surprise. If that does not float your boat then install a battery disconnect for the negative terminal, u...
