Re: At last, MX-6 ECU + KL02 vs. Probinator + JE50 dyno results.
quick question after reading this thread guys.. if the chip you have is designed for the k8 computer specifically.. than your best bet would be to stick with the JE-50 sensor correct? now.. i've got a probe/mx-6 designed chip in my k8 ecu.. and im still running the JE-50 sensor. the car is still run...

Re: ZE DISTY FIRING ORDER
yeah i've realized now whats happened.. the ze disty cap has a 7th nipple on it for the external coil correct? the disty cap from my (thought curve-neck ZE) has only 6 nipples same as the k8. the distributor from this motor has the marking KL-01. im assuming its now not a ZE, but a millenia 174hp DE...

Re: difference in klze curve neck vs. straight neck.
my motor has the kl-31-101/1A1 stampings but it had a 6 nipple disty on it, i think the mechanic took the egr from the k8 engine and installed in on my engine so he told me.. so that means its the 174 hp version.. great. this being the case, would the kl-01 ecu and vaf be the best combo for that mot...

Re: ZE DISTY FIRING ORDER
is there any negative effect from using the ze rotor and cap on the k8 disty? my cap and rotor were shot and they were like new on the klze engine i picked up, so i swapped my disty on the klze but kept the ze rotor and cap on it. had the car out for a spin a few days ago and it didnt really impress...

Re: few ZE questions.. im getting closer!!
so its normal for the k8 probinator chipped ecu to run a little rich? im not to worried about it only the fact that i may be losing a little HP to it. so is the KL-36 ecu a better option? what would be the negative effect of the vris not matching? also, does anyone have a couple round about HP and T...

few ZE questions.. im getting closer!!
hey guys im starting to finally get my ZE swap tailed away. got a few more quick questions/issues the car ran really rich when i first did the swap.. would over-fuel that much it would barely run cold at all. had the probinator chip swapped in my k8 ecu and replaced the severely worn k8 disty cap an...

Re: difference in klze curve neck vs. straight neck.
http://www.geocities.com/viv95pgt/klze.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; from this link i found on the 'identifying a klze' in the FAQ section, it only shows the curve neck engine making peak torque at a lower rpm. the straight neck 165@5500 and the curve neck 165@4800. t...

difference in klze curve neck vs. straight neck.
just like the subject.. whats the difference? as far as i can research the cams are different.. so the straight neck has KL-31 cams, and the curve neck has the same cams as my stock 1.8? or somthing different? i went with the curve neck because it was a straight swap into my 94 GS. is there a notice...

Re: done KLZE swap.. overfueling on initial startup.. rough idle
You should be able to use the JE50. I personally met up the guy who did my chip. At least try to get in contact with someone if possible. If you plan to chip it yourself, you better be good at soldering and whatnot. Also, some ECU are not compatible so you gotta make sure before you go out and purc...

Re: done KLZE swap.. overfueling on initial startup.. rough idle
first thing i did was change the plugs. she wouldnt even fire up at all with the old plugs in there. how do i go about adjusting the tps? and how would i know if its adjusted incorrectly? the chip thats being sold on ebay now for 19.99 converts us spec ecu to jap spec. is that chip good for my k8 co...

done KLZE swap.. overfueling on initial startup.. rough idle
just did a klze swap on my 94' GS. its around -10 degrees out now but i definitely have some overfueling problems when it first fires up. the only exhaust on the engine is the two headers and downpipe, but i dont think that would cause it to do what it does. it will misfire and flood and nothing but...
