8mm Speedbleeder. Can't get any easier than that. Looks great. It would appear to address the issue effectively. I emailed speedbleeder.com to ask about the proper size but does anyone know ? I am not expectig a speedy bleeding response just because its labor day weekend but I would like to order t...

I am learning about the KL8 as I work through the clutch and Crank position sensor, but I really don't know a lot about the motor. In general terms for this type of oil consumption, I would suspect piston rings. Also rear main seal and PCV. How much mileage was that 4 days? How much oil was lost? A ...

Clutch bleeding for dummies?
sorry for the dumb post but I am trying to get finished on my clutch line replacement as described in this thread: http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=53787 I have got the line installed and have begun the bleeding but any of the instructions I have assume you actually know what you are doing...

Mazdanoob I was the newbie who posted the original question in the thread quoted above. I changed the tranny fluid twice in a cramped garage in Canada in the middle of winter and once I figured out what I was doing it was easy. Between the chilton manual and the online shop manual you should be able...

Slave Cylinder bleeder screw
Thanks. I did the removal and install work in the morning, but it got danged humid this afternoon. After hooking up the line I went off to pickup some extra DOT 3 brake fluid (and found CDN Tire had a sale on the 4.4 Litre jug of Castrol GTX and a Fram Filter for $9.99). I am just having trouble wit...

Update - line replaced - still have to bleed
I got a steel replacement clutch line, removed the hood and battery, disconnected the clutch line and removed the two brackets that hold each end of the clutch line to the chassis and drivetrain respectively (where the flexible clutch line connects to the solid lines from the master cylinder near th...

I hope this helps.[/color] I think it absolutely does. Sounds exactly like what I saw two days ago when I pulled the battery and looked below. I can see a leak coming from the forward end where the flexible line couples to the solid line. I kinda figured that I had it right, but given my level of i...

I managed to get a chance to pull the battery today and it looks to me like the clutch hose has developed a leak right at the forward connection, where the connector crimps on. I can't really tell if the slave cylinder is okay but at least for the moment it looks like the clutch line is bad. Ironica...

I can't see the leak but it looks like it is coming from lower down. there is a stain on the floor roughly aligned with the front tire but a foot or so inboard and while I don't see fluid leak up top, anything below the battery area has obvious indications of fresh spill. Total volume looks like a c...

Clutch Line replace was Limp clutch pedal automotive viagara
Car is a 1994 MX-3 GS with 5 speed manual which serves as my winter car. I bought it last fall. It has been stored since May in my garage, wheels blocked, in neutral. I went to start it up today just to move the wheels a bit to try and avoid flat spotting. The clutch was extremely stiff. My other ca...

Trevor a good guy
I bought a part from Trevor. It took a little longer than i expected (just post office - not expedited or anything.) When the parcel arrived, i could see that it was post marked on the day that Trevor said he would send it, so he delivered on his commitment. It just took the post office something li...

Re: thx
Cheers guys, Lotta useful info there. I read through all the old thread and I guess it's just a matter of choosing but also what I can get here in the UK. I've never seen seafoam for instance. Sorry, I missed your location, but some of the basics still apply. Two of the 5 products I mentioned are n...

Glad to hear that Auto-RX worked for slimmyslim. I think I was the contributing poster on that thread. Auto-RX works very slowly to dissolve and suspend crap. Re Gunk (which Gunk, the Motor Flush?) most of these things are kerosene or naptha or other petroleum solvents . They may do some good but th...
