i dont how thats possible... at 3500rpm you will sit at 110kmh so 7000 will be 220kmh... u can get 240kmh out of an mx3 trans but to say at 235kmh is under 7000 i just cant beleive... not trying to be an a-- at all i just dont want misinfo going around. maybe you did i dont know but there is alot of...

yes u can hold a gear longer but does not mean u are going to accelerate quicker... still takes more power to accelerate on a higher gear then a lower gear ratio...

and that is bs the rings do not unseat when u take the head off... its pretty dam hard for the rings to turn inside the cylinder.

Sounds like BS to me. What on earth would cause the rings to move if you remove the head? Its not like the stress of the headbolts in the block deform the cylinder walls... actually it does... headbolts torqued down will distort the cylinder walls a little bit... ever heard of torque plates? they b...

the mx3 being lighter and having shorter gears are like the main reason they can usually outrun a ZE mx6... shorter gears DO help! it would be nice if we had a 6th gear though

just buy another mint mx3... its hard to find these days especially in canada... my mx3 blew another ZE and the body was really rusty so instead of dropping a new engine in a bad car i just went out to find a mint cat in which i ended up with a 323... so now ze is going into good body 323

its 120 bux brand new at mazda.... and pretty much all knock sensors are out of spec these days... there is a guy here that had a faulty one in his mx6 so he went to the wreckers and tested all of them and all of them came out bad as there out of spec... so he went to mazda and bought a brand new on...

Yes, that is right, but I've redlined in 4th and I've onl really ran 15's, but a few times, probably on slicker tracks, I've had to use 5th.... if your topping out 4th in the 1/4 mile that means you would be trapping like 105-110mph... ud need some miracle to do that on a stock block ZE... and your...

Unless you have an amazing mazda master mechanic that happens to be an MX-3 nut I would suggest that you study the forums here carefully because there are a number of technical problems to these engine swaps that should be adressed ahead of time ie; which sensors to use (you need a special VAF sens...
