Re: NEW SOHC INTAKE!!

I know man -- I was kidding... yeah I used a PCV elbow, it works well but I had rto bore the hole out a little bit. Which kit did you buy -- is it the same one as I got just a different finish?

Re: NEW SOHC INTAKE!!

Thanks for the props bro -- just kiddin. I like the way that you have yours set up better too.. Did you have to cut some of the piping, or did you just put it straight in there?

Re: How to adapt Protege intake to MX-3

no... actually I used the gromet that came with the kit. I bought a different PCV elbow - its the same as stock on one side, but the other end is a little smaller diameter. I bored the hole on the intake out a little more with a Dremel, and slid it right in there. Worked out perfect.

Re: Muffler question

I have heard the supertrap -- it sounds really good. Its has a low tone and its not real raspy when you get on it.

Re: How to adapt Protege intake to MX-3

I know there are other intakes out there for the I-4, but this one only costs like $40.00 including the filter. There really is too much modification that you have to do to it either.

Re: How to adapt Protege intake to MX-3

I just bought this intake and I was wondering if you could put the PCV valve in the hole that is already there... There is a hole in one of the tubes and there is a stem on the other. I am wondering if I could put that PCV valve in the hole that is already there, then attach that tube to the throttl...
