Why, too much?

Then again people here already have MXs, not many would need to buy one.

Might be selling my MX (sigh) ...

I just got a job posting overseas, and after crunching the numbers it doesn't make sense for me to keep my car in storage. I'm therefore, with horrible reluctance, forced to consider selling it. It's a white 95 auto with about 175,000 km on it. All the stuff that typically wears out at this point in...

Hidden aux port in OEM stereo, updated

So I pulled the stereo from my MX, and checked the ports in back. The only free port was a really strange plug I've never seen. It had a plastic cover, which, when removed, exposed a round jack with many holes. It looks sort of like an S-Video port. I went down to the friendly neighborhood auto part...

Where, exactly, is the freakin' horn?

My horn needs to be replaced, but I can't find the li'l bugger. I seem to recall someone saying it's at the right-front, behind the bumper, but I'll be damned if I can see it. I poked around with my flashlight from every possible angle, but came up with nothing.

Li'l help? With a photo, if possible?

I tried the FM transmitter and didn't like it much. They're not a great idea if you live downtown in a big city, as I do. Your mileage may vary, of course.

Thanks for the tip, Custommx3! I'll check that out.

Hidden aux port in factory-installed stereo?

I have a cassette adapter for using my iPod in the car, but someone told me that factory-installed stereos sometimes have a "hidden" aux port (in the back, maybe).

Anyone know if this is true? Would be nice if it was. I'm in a 95 4-banger automatic, by the way.

Where's a good place to buy parts in TO?

I need a new alternator for my 95 V4 auto ... any tips on where to get a good price on a quality (new) part? Downtown, if possible?

Where do you guys buy your parts? Order them online, maybe?

Beats me, man. I have noticed, though, that using the heater too much seems to cause problems. My habit is, on a cold winter day I climb in, start the engine, and blast full heat at full fan till the interior heats up, while the rear defroster is on and I'm playing a tape on the stereo (and the ligh...

Nah ... I just gave it a close check, and I'm pretty sure it's the alternator. It's the source of the burning smell and the high whining sound. The belts and pulleys seem fine. Dammit!

Now to see if I've got the know-how to replace it myself ....

Crazystrange problem -- alternator, belts, what?

So yesterday I took my MX to a car wash (it needed it). Afterwards, stopped to get some gas, I noticed a lot of smoke coming out from under the hood. Panicked, I popped the hood to take a peek ... it looked like the radiator had gotten wet in the wash and was just boiling the stuff off. The temperat...

Actually, now that you mention it, I did have the alignment done when I changed the tires. That's probably it.

Actually the shaking at 140 is extremely minor compared to what it used to be.
