Re: Speakers
I would go with a 6.5 component system. I am biased so I would suggest Infinity or Kenwood. The Infinity Kappa series is excellent, but the reference is nice, and a little less expensive. I wouldn't go by my opinion, I would go to a car audio shop and experience the sound for yourself.
~Ryan~

They are good for the money, I guess. You can get a 12" for $20 bucks that should tell you something.

Re: Trunk Amp/Sub layouts
I am building a fiberglass enclosure putting 2 12" Rubicon subs facing upward tilted about 10 degrees inward and forward. Then directly in the middle of the trunk, I am puttin my amp under a .5" plexi-glass display with neon light accents.

Re: To All Audio Experts
I have to go with deathtrap as far as infinity being tha way to go. If I were you, I would go with a Kappa component system for the front, and a 3-way 6x9 or 6.5 in tha back. I'm not such a fan on tha Kappa Perfect sub tho. Sure it has alot of hype, and sounds better than most subz out there, but th...

Re: Sub box positioning????
It completely depends on the enclosure you are using. I would suggest the following combinations.
2-sub Bandpass or Sectioned Ported Box, Face it so the ports are facing the back of the car, with the box as far toward the cab as possible. That way the bass will reflect off the back of the car incr...

Re: A Mazda Kanji symbol.....
Just find the Kanji symbol for Mazda and go to any custom sticker site and ask them to transfer it to a sticker. Or depending on the quality of your printer, you can buy sticker transparencies from your local Office Max and print it for yourself.
~Ryan~

Re: WHY MX-3's are so OVERLOOKED!!!
Personally, I am building my car for ME and only ME. I don't give a damn if it looks like another one, just that it looks the way I like it. If you go around your whole life trying to impress everyone you meet, you will get tired of life...but if you spend your time trying to impress yourself, with ...
