i need the engine hooks for a 1.6L sohc engine, i plan on swapping mine soon, and the last kid that had the car took em off for some reason.... makes it hard to pull the engine out hehe

if i get a bp motor from an automatic protege, as long as i swap MY flywheel and clutch itll work on my 5 speed right? and one more thing, i read that the ecu for auto's are diff then the 5 speed ecu's.. is this right? would an engine that came off an auto car work with a 5 speed ecu? or would it be...

man, at this price driving a car with all kinds of performance upgrades is gunna kill money lol... thats insane..i feel for u guys with turbo'd cars, and the big v6 swaps atm....

ok, so getting a reg bp from like a protege is the best way to go in the long run then? or would the bpt from the 89' 323 be the way to go? im looking for a fairly simple swap too, i know the turbo makes it tougher, but not much, the tubing is almost the hardest part, specially if i can take the 323...

but the GTX version is like dropping a reg BP in but it has the turbo right? im trying to find out how much harder dropping a turbo'd bp is then dropping a regular one... i know the tubing and stuff but thats not really that hard to do, just time consuming.. and is a bpt engine a 1.8L or a 1.6? i al...

isnt the bpt swap just the BP swap with a turbo on it? or is it a totally different engine? ive been doing some reading from the searches, and it sounds like theres 2 different types of BPT engines, the jdm version and the "american" one.....

yeh i agree with 95 rs.... when i blew up my tranny i took it to a shop, i messed up some gear that cost 600$..... they rebuilt it and ive never had a problem since.... the problem with getting a tranny shipped is if it isnt shipped right the spider gears move around, and ur back to step 1 looking f...

i bought a altanator from Advance Auto for like 125$, tho i had to grind the thing the screw runs through down to get it to fit, but works like a champ, even with a massive stereo in the car....

leme know if ya got one, lookin to get it and put it in before end of summer... thanks
