v6 engine running like poop!

Hey everyone, after spending about 3 hours looking at old threads i'm deciding to post, b/c this problem is a little strange. Here it is....also the car is completely stock, no ecu mods or anything strange! 1) the idle is jumping anywhere from 200 - 1000 rpm and sometimes stalls 2) car will no longe...

Re: no revs or power and oil on spark plugs

This similar thing happend with my mkII supra, it turned out to be a horribly clogged fuel filter. As the car sits the deposits settled to the bottom, which allowed for an opening until fuel started flowing...then it plugged up and starved the engine of fuel! The mx3 filter sits on it's side, so it ...

Re: 92 v6 starting problems

well after checking pretty much everything, i have come to the conclusion it is the fuel pump... here is my reasoning: after the car sits for a long period of time the pressure in the fuel lines decrease, so when i start it in the morning it doesn't start right away due to lack of pressure; that is ...

Re: 92 v6 starting problems

well, it will sit there and crank for about 3-5 seconds. It seems to only do this in the mornings when the car is started up for the first time that day. After that it starts just fine and dandy! The plug wires are new NGK wires (good quality and pricey as hell) the plugs are new ngk platniums. As f...

Re: 92 v6 starting problems

ok, where abouts if the fuel regulator located?
i don't think it woud be plug wires..there fairly new...As for the fuel pump i would think that this would be an issue even if the car was sitting for a couple hours, wouldn't it?

thanks for your replys

Heres the situation, sometimes when i go to start the car it turns over alot before it fires. It seems to do this more when the engine is cold (sitting over night). Other times it starts ri...

Re: CD Player

Well for most decks there are 3 main wires for the operation, the battery, acc, and the ground...the others are for speakers, dimmer, remote, etc. So with the main wires hooked up the "cd player" functions should be working. I had a deck that did something similar to yours. sometimes the r...

Re: Help! front speakers are not working and fan, venting, a

Well i just got the car about 3 weeks ago and it came with an aftermarket cd player. All the interior lights work except for the temp control gauges. I checked the dimmer on the deck and it appears the dimmer feature isn't hooked up. I also find it kinda weird that only the temp lights are out. unle...

hey guys my buddy bought a service manual for his 95 240sx from this guy on ebay. I recently emailed and ask if he could get ahold of one for the mx3, he said ya but wasn't sure how much, they'll run from 70-90usd he thinks. He deals alot with nissan, not so much with mazda. But he seems reliable, i...

Re: AudioBahn

I know some guys that are running AB, and they sound solid. BUT i think we can all agree there are other things to consider, like what amp ur running them with and the enclosure... you can have PPI competition subs and run them with a crampy amp, and you'll make them sound like crap. I always tell m...
