Re: Which version of Rear disc brake Caliper?
Well, I guess I'll have to use my head a little more next time. It would definitely explain why I couldn't find more information on that subject. Some parts are the same between the two and I thought that the brakes was one area where they were. Thanks for setting me straight! What parts database ar...

Which version of Rear disc brake Caliper?
I recently had my car (93 MX-3 GS) in to get an oil change and I was told that I need new pads and rotors on the back. I'm planning to do that myself in a week or two. It is possible that it was caused by the e-brake not releasing completely because it has been a little sticky at times. Anyway, how ...

Re: Door Panel Removal
Well, it was easier to remove the door panel than I expected. Thanks for the info. I did find out I don't need the whole switch, so that may make it easier to fix. The electrical part is fine, but the plastic button was cracked. While trying to remove it, though, I broke all the way. Oops! :) Thankf...

Door Panel Removal
The power window switch on the driver's side has been acting up lately. Do I have to take off the door panel to replace it? Is that difficult, or is it a 10 minute kind of thing?
My car is a 93 GS, with no significant modifications to speak of.

Re: Knocking when turning (problem solved)
My wife has a 97 Cavalier that also had problems with the steering rack. There was a recall on it but I don't know exactly what they fixed. The symptoms that I remember were loss of power steering fluid, sporadic difficulty turning left (most noticable in parking lots), and the steering wheel did no...

Re: Cruise control operation
I do not expect the cruise to work below 50 km/h, and I am well aware that it is not supposed to work under this speed. I was hoping to find out whether it was normal for the cruise on the MX-3 to lose its speed setting just by driving under 50 km/h because it is not for every other cruise that I ha...

Re: Cruise control operation
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. In every other vehicle I've driven with cruise, I could do the following: Use the cruise driving on the highway (110 km/h). Slow down (50 km/h) or stop(0 km/h) in a town (not turning car or cruise off, just using the brake to disengage). Accelerate above speed where cr...

Cruise control operation
I recently bought a 93 MX-3 GS. My question is about the cruise control. It exhibits behaviour that I feel is not correct. I can set the cruise normally and that works fine. However, if I have to disengage the cruise and slow down below 50 KM/H, the resume feature does not work. The cruise hasn't tu...
