Door Panel Removal

Post by umbrau44 »

The power window switch on the driver's side has been acting up lately. Do I have to take off the door panel to replace it? Is that difficult, or is it a 10 minute kind of thing?

My car is a 93 GS, with no significant modifications to speak of.

Really easy. Theres one screw on the door's side to take out. Then theres like around 7 pegs that hold the door on, just pull the door cover out and unplug your switch and your done.

Well, it was easier to remove the door panel than I expected. Thanks for the info.

I did find out I don't need the whole switch, so that may make it easier to fix. The electrical part is fine, but the plastic button was cracked. While trying to remove it, though, I broke all the way. Oops! :) Thankfully, it was the switch for the passenger window.
