Re: Returning after a 3 year layoff (update: traded it in)

Well, I lasted 6 months with it. The transmission was starting to slip and the starter was acting real flaky. Plus some body rust actually ate through the body in the rear wheel well. So I traded it in and I'm now I'm the proud owner of a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS.

I've had a lot of fun years with ...

Re: Does anyone know where to get 94+ dash kits?

I see they have the 94-96 MX-3 on their list, I can't speak good or bad for the product.

Re: Returning after a 3 year layoff

Yeah, I'm not very technical when it comes to cars (just computers). If I see something someone else did or have an idea, I take to a specialty shop to see if can be done. Not the most original ever, but I love tricking out my car.

Project, good to see you again!

Re: Motorized Hatch Glass?

i dont really get the point in this ...
but i did remember one thing.

Re: Returning after a 3 year layoff

Thanks for the posts. Rest assured that if there is some sort of liquid in the car, it's being purged and replaced. Nd4SpdSe, glad I was part of the GB experience and not just for the part. The hood scoop, Z3 fenders, NSX vents aren't really anything special, no work log. They were just parts I ...

Returning after a 3 year layoff (Update: traded in the MX)

After having my car sit for a few years I was finally able to have it towed to a shop and worked on. Next Saturday, I drive it from Illinois to Wisconsin where I get to have my baby back. In the interim I've been driving a 2000 Ford Taurus and while I got my money's worth, it's time for me to be ...

been gone a long while (MX3 damaged)

Last summer I'm pulling out of work on my lunch break and I get stuck in the rightmost lane of a three lane road. Speed limit is 45 and the people in my lane are all turning right slowly. No biggie, I have time to get my lunch. The green light before the one I'm approaching turns green and this Neon ...

Honesly though his car looks really clean, the silver doesnt make it look bad in the picture its the front bumper because it hangs down further than the rest of the car.

I agree that the bumper is definately out of place with the rest of the car. The silver trim I have no qualms about. As other ...

Not to hijack a thread, but I'm beginning to rust through my two rear tire wells as well. It sounds from the description that I have about the same type/amount of rust. I'd like to hear any other ideas or possible cost of repairing/replacing them.
