ZE swap question
Yes I have searched for this and did not find the answer. Ok, I should be doing my ze swap within a short period time but one thing puzzles me, the shop that is doing it says they need to get the engine, ecu and MAF. I have not seen anywhere in the swap FAQ's that mention the MAF only the VAF. Can s...

Re: Knocking engine...
They said it will drive fine, it's just more annoying with the ticking sound :) . The tension arm if it goes as lakersfan1 said, your timing belt can get chewed up slowly or stop working... Mazda quoted my about $300 CAN or so to fix just the tensioner arm :( dang..! the cam springs with the arm the...

Re: Knocking engine...
Hey, I have the same issue right now. Took it in and they say it the cam springs(the ones that hold the tension on the second set cams to keep them in place) and / or the timing belt tensioner arm. They told me its ok to still drive but to get rid of the ticking I should fix it. Anyone in Ottawa kno...

Re: KLZE opinion
I also want to do the ZE swap, but I do not have the tools or space to do this. Is there any where I can get the complete swap done, eng/curved neck, etc. that is close to Ottawa? I know of Aspec, but a little far. (lazy :p ) Anyone know of shops near here that do this? Does Osaka do this?
thx.
thx.

Re: Amplifier Mounting
Mounted my amp and the cap on the back of the seat. Just screwed them into the metal brackets.
After you can put some solder into the head of the screw, that way you can't just use a screw driver to remove the amp.
My sub box is too big to remove :p

Re: keyless entry needs power door lock?
No you do not need power door locks to have keyless entry. I don't have power locks on my GS but I have actuators installed so that I can have keyless entry with my alarm. Love not having to unlock my car with a key
