my mx-3 finally had to go after 3 happy years - 2 of which I had the Ze in. Still all good things come to an end at some point. I have a bunch of parts left over nothing big - just a box of bolts from the swap, and a/c compressor, standard airbox, VE50 vaf, oil filter, plug wires etc. Also the tires...

best thing is to take it on a test drive and find a fast downhill stretch - put it is 3rd at around 50 - 60 mph or so and let the engine slow the car down the hill. Near the base of hill give it full throttle whilst watching the rear view mirror - if you see any blue smoke walk from the deal or get ...

blowing bubbles!
I have had to replace the top rad. hose last week & as a precaution I did the bottom one as well. All seemed ok for 3 days now the little hoses that go to to the TB split on the way home tonight so I replaced them - they were pretty soft after 12 years I suppose. I then filled up the rad. and ra...

Re: Screwy Temperature Gauge
yes you';re right it is resistance - I found it in the Chilton's manual it's around 5 ohms at 20 degrees - I know the sensor is ok now so it must be a loose conection or chafed wire somewhere

thanks

I had the same problem - you can just change the bearing inside the strut mount - they are C$25 for two at the Mazda dealer,
good luck

if it's knocking it either your crank bearings or big ends or both if you ran it with no oil for any longer than a few seconds at high speed.........

Re: KLZE Block Code Year ID?
I tried to that with mine & the dealer & Mazda Canada didn't know. The closest I could get was to look at the year on the plug wires and the date code on most of the plastic parts like the timing belt covers.
