My temperature gauge has stopped working - does anyone know what the output voltage of the coolant sensor should be when the engine is cold and when it has warmed up?
thanks

Re: Screwy Temperature Gauge
It will be a resistance, not a voltage. Make sure your checking the single pin sensor in the coolant neck. There are two others with two pins but those don't run the gauge.
sorry I can't find the resistance in the manual I have though.

Re: Screwy Temperature Gauge
yes you';re right it is resistance - I found it in the Chilton's manual it's around 5 ohms at 20 degrees - I know the sensor is ok now so it must be a loose conection or chafed wire somewhere
