But which is the better I would rather spend it right the first time than buy another set later

EDIT: I wasn't able to find the abs versions of the KYB struts only Monroe ones on rockauto.com corksport has Tokio ones

Yep, I have them in the AWD car. You have to cut the top of the strut off, then drill a 1/2" or so hole in the bottom, slide them in and bold from the bottom up. The dampening is only adjustable if the strut is fully compressed its kind of a PITA, but I love love love them. I wish Koni had Yel...

so basically, i take apart the whole suspension assembly and change the core piece, but keep the mounting brackets the springs etc.

Just because I am about to pull it any consequences of pulling the Reverse Light Switch out such as Trans Oil Greeting my Face?

Need to clean the switch, and its kind of in a spot I would expect oil to come out PIC
