So guys bang for buck.
Best struts we can Buy new for the MX-3 what would be the best choice we only have a budget of around $100 a strut and My dad is getting me and my sister new struts for the back of our cars as our current ones are almost completely dead and my sisters probably are dead. now I intend to buy the front ones myself for mine but my sister probably doesn't. So I intend to buy all 4. Sisters is getting rears only.
I have no complaints about how my car sits or rides but I would like to keep my current performance if I can as my MX has always done well
If you have better solutions post em up please!
Both are v6's
Thanks for the help!

Re: So guys bang for buck.
KYB are OEM quality. Lasted 20 years, replacements should go another 20.
Monroe is generally garbage, but has lifetime warranty. Like the mastercraft of struts.
I'm not a fan of Tokico. Some people are though.

Re: So guys bang for buck.
Yep, I have them in the AWD car. You have to cut the top of the strut off, then drill a 1/2" or so hole in the bottom, slide them in and bold from the bottom up. The dampening is only adjustable if the strut is fully compressed its kind of a PITA, but I love love love them. I wish Koni had Yellows for the MX ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

Thinking i am going to get Koni Red's but I am going to ask confirmation
on
I need 4 of these,
they are the same for front and rear,
The stock strut assemblies have to be modified.
Should i be buying them From Corksport? Or where else.
For my sisters Mx-3
i need to know were i should be getting struts that will work with stock front struts as well as possible. or does it matter as long as I change both rear's
Thanks for the help guys

For your sisters car it does not really matter as long as you change both rears.
koni Reds are the same all front and rear. your stock strut tubes have to be modified to use them, there is not a place that I know of that will do this. Perhaps an alignment shop, but if you have basic tools (side grinder or sawzall, and a drill) you are good.
one word of advice though, when you cut out the welded in mono tube, make sure you cut it off as close to the welds at the top as you can. other wise your tube will have some wobble.
KYB's are a decent alternative if you don't want to go with the work involved in the Koni Reds.
