14" wheel on mx3 GS?

stock is 16"i think. one of the tires has a slow leak or broken seal so im looking at getting a set of used volkswagon wheels with good tires for really cheap. will 14" fit the calipers? 92gs

Well I suppose it depends on the type of rim but I was running some 5 spoke 14" american racing wheels without a problem on my 92 GS. I believe the stock 14" RS butterfly wheels will work as well.

They should the same calipers are on RS and they come factory with 14 honeycombs.

I had 14 inch steelies on for a bit and they didn't rub on the callipers, this was on my RS, although they were on a GS before and they were fine. Worst come to worse, just throw them on then and there and see if they're good.

What you need to know is the rim contour. Ours is "JJ". It is a common one, civics from the 90's and 00's, most econobox cars, really. Another concern is offset. We are +45mm or "high offset"

If will be stamped on the rims somewhere.

im running some 14" vw rims on my car for the winter. no problems so far...

If the 14's you run are on par with stock rs rims you will be fine

Just trying to figure out how you got 16" mx3 rims stock? Weren't they all 14s or 15s? And if you do get the 14s you'll just have to get bigger tires to match up for the speed.

i was surprised no one mentioned this error as well, yes all the stock rims were either 14" or 15"

Lol, I was thinking, I never had the special edition mx3 but I don't think they were 16s for the 5 star rims. lol. Oh well, some of us just look too deeply at times but it's all good.
