If you are doing the GM High energy ignition module and external ignition coil, you wont need to plug the 3 one back in because thats only for the internal coil and plus youll be cutting that plug off to wire up the coil/module. youll need a 1k ohm resistor for the tach.

So why does everyone on the mazdaspeed forums say there real and that there used for starting your car and being easier on your battery because it stores power in it? ...... Found more info saying that it also helps the alternator when something starts to draw to much power from it, that it puts out...

There is no part number on it. thats why its unknown. but its engraved across the top. the MS and Mazdaspeed is NOT a sticker. i just dislike people who try to call something fake... i would not try to sell a phoney ms part. just sayin.. noo. its apart of the coil im pretty sure tho. the 3 prong plug on the back side of the 6 prong plug is the coil. multi-meter and test the 2 outter prongs on the 3 prong plug. should be 11.5-18ohms.

Thats little random thing on the top of the disty? my cousin had the same issue but his car wouldnt start at all untill he shook the wire n moved it around a bit.

yah check your 02 sensors and ignition system components. Spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap, rotor, coil, disty. maybe your coil is on its way out. known issue.

so when you fire it up at first when its cold it runs rough? but then if you just drive it cold, it runs like a top and has no issues untill it warms up?(not always good to drive cold btw..imo) maybe a 02 sensor? or maybe fouling spark plugs, rotor or cap or disty? trial and error lol.

No youll have no problems with turboing it with a atx to mtx swap. and if you do not get a MTX ecu all it causes is you to not have to plug your clutch in, in the interior which will cause you to not have to apply the clutch in to start it. and it will cause a Hold light on your dash to flash on the...
