Re: Poor Gas Mileage On A Four Banger???

OK, I have been away for a while,,,,,I have been messing w/ the mixture and gotten some improvements, it is a pint of 100% acetone and 1 pint of good Deisel mixed for every 10 gals. I also installed a fuel warmer w/a a flow restrictor before it so the fuel coming in is slowed down a bit and warms up...

Re: Poor Gas Mileage On A Four Banger???

What seems to work best after about 8 tanks is 100% PURE ACETONE mixed as 3oz per 10 gal, I have been also adding in a Xylene mix of about 3oz also, this combo def seems to let the car idle better and the power is def smoother. I was running Home Depot Acetone, but the 100% PURE available from Sally...

I am gonna post a pick of my hillbilly hot air vent into my intake. It looks hack, but I just wated to see if it works, before I got all expensive on it, so fa...

4 cyl intake manifold?

Does anyone have a spare one laying around? I would like to see a pic of the underside of it where the ports are to see about porting it.
Any help would be great and also a pic of the gasket on it to see about any mis-match too.
Thanks- J

Re: Poor Gas Mileage On A Four Banger???

I have been testing my mpg in my 93 mx-3 w/ 5 spd w/ 75,000 miles. I have a 13 gal tank,(according to the manual) and have been re-fueling @ the 10 gal mark consistantly and getting 30 mpg and then after a few mods, now getting about 34 mpg, and I hope to have this up to 36 mpg in the next week. Her...

Re: Hello from USA (Connecticuit actually)*pics of car*

OK, cool. :D I also read up on the Acetone segment, very wordy, but there seems to be alot of supporting documents out there that suggests that 2-3 oz per 10 gallons will get an increase in mpg. Seems the guy also sells some sort of fogger kit that adds supplimental additives to make a more draastic...

OK, I will check this out, makes sense on paper,,,,,I looked on Ebay,,,,I can't find a CAI that looks like jovians,,,,the ones I found look like flex tubing,(like on a home clothes dryer exhuast), w/a pod filter,,,,,would like to find a nice solid pipe w/ boot.
Thanks! J

Re: Hello from USA (Connecticuit actually)*pics of car*

The body is mint, not once scratch on it.
The pics are a bit blurry, it was raining and some got on the lens, but I love the car!
I am getting about 28-31 mpg right now, I would love to find a trick to get 33+!

Re: Want clear headlight lenses for $10 and 5 minutes?

True, but even if I have to do every few months, it is worth it, the kit was cheap and comes w/ 6 pads,(1 per light).
