The only motor that will work that way is another 1.6 DOHC.

However, you can get away pretty cleanly with just about any other B6 or BP series engine.

So you're planning on putting in a nitrous system, but you don't know enough about the engine to diagnose the current problem. I have a 94 DOHC 1.6. I get a grinding noise (sounds like a sheet metal piece rattling really fast, or a little bit like transmission gears grinding) from somewhere in the car at exactly 4000 RPM and above. Anyone know what it could be? Maybe part of the VICS system?
