thanks for the replies it turns out they are working correctly. i am going to try a different ecu anyway because mazda cant read ecu it just wont communicate. my ecu says k820 on it is this the correct one for the car?

the engine is a stock mx3 k8. you can sometimes feel the kick but not other times.

when i rev my engine both vris actuators open at the same time and only when at mid rpm. i thought one was meant to open then higher up the other opens. what could be the fault? thanks

aye thats what my car does it in about 8 seconds and that was with a shafted clutch not slipping just burnt out the release bearing was melted to the shaft. my car wont go by 110mph tho.

yeah the 0 to 60 time is about 8.5 seconds and thats with the engine not running 100% slightly hesitant and lumpy below 4000rpm

my stock k8 does 0 to 100mph in 20 seconds is this normal or is it a tad slow for this type of car? what times do you get?

forgot to add when engine has pinged and its runnind slower the idle will drop for a second then come back to normal when coming to a stop and clutch depressed. but when engine is running fine the idles dont do that.
