Usually carbon gums up the diaphragm in the EGR causing it to stick open / not close properly. Its located at the back of the engine, just trace the copper tube from the front intake to the rear. Two 12mm bolts to remove it IIRC and just spray it with brake cleaner. Try that and see if it helps clea...

I can service G/F trannies very easily, page 7 on my worklog has the mods you have to do for the mazdaspeed LSD and page 9 the re assembly. I would suggest against the mazdaspeed LSD because of the difficulty of locating a Kia Sephia 28 spline halfshaft. Mfactory makes 28 and 26 spline helical LSD's...

Drop it a few feet by removing the existing muffler and piping from the rubber hangers and
let it rest on the ground to make it easier to work on. Don't cut anything.

It takes about 10 minutes to get in from the top, just remove the battery holder plastic
and then the fuel filter bracketry. Invest in a flexy-funnel too, saves the mess.
