Re: KLZE for 700(US)
Just a suggestion and this thread is pretty old, but you should allways use a local engine dealer if you can because you can go and look at the engine before you buy it. Most places will clean the engine before they ship it meaning you have no idea where (if any) the oil leaks are. You can also do a...

Re: Curved Neck Manifold??
Careful, I also uses the ZE strait neck intake and it won't completely clear the brake resevior under heavy acceleration. If you look closely you will see that as the motor torques tword the fire wall it might come into contact with the brake resevior and brake it. Then you have no stopping power. I...

Re: corksport
You could also go to Best Japanese Engines in Marietta Georgia. I got mine for about 1200 and they had about 8 to choose from. They had the strait neck and the curved and you can go and pick out the one that you want. I know you live in the Carolinas, but it might be worth the trip so that you get a...

Re: klze shopping list and minor questions
Well I agree with most of the comments so far. However, as far as what should and what can be replaced is really like guessing for those who do not know what condition your parts are in right now. You should replace everything that has alot of wear. Usually the common worn parts that SHOULD be repla...

Re: Sunroof problems ....
You might try to grease the track with a little axle grease. It may be dirty and dry.
Does the motor whine like it is under strain to close? If so then grease should help. If not then it sounds like you might have a motor or mechanical problem.

Re: Anyone bought a KLZE from sunsengines??
I don't know about that engine company, but you can get the ECU from your 1.8 reprogrammed to a KLZE spec from Cork Sport for less than 500.

I think that you have misunderstood my question. I am not haveing trouble with the spark plug wires. It is the distributor ignition timing adjustment that is the problem. Thanks though.

Re: Valve cover removal
Make SURE that you use a good torque wrench to tighten up the velve cover bolts. They are speced to 10 lbs. I believe. I know becuase I broke one off at about 12 Lbs. Not fun, if one breaks you have to remove the whole valve cover and get a new bolt then retorque all the bolts again.

? 1.8 Disty won't time with the KL-ZE Disty marks?
I have got a funky problem. I am swapping the 1.8 for a KLZE and am stuck on the swapping of the 2.5 disty for the 1.8 disty. Before removing the 2.5 disty I marked the position of the disty and the button on the block. Then removed and installed the 1.8 disty. The 1.8 disty will line up with the 2....

Re: home made airintake pics
hey mattster, just for your info man, that other opening for the other hose that you removed, if you want to cap it off, and you should, use a spray paint can top, it will fit over it nicely. cut a notch in the can lid for the protrusion that is on the intake and then you can tughten it down with th...

Re: Motor Oil
i've had my MX for about 5 years now and changed to Mobile 1 synthetic at about 90k. i'm now at about 110K and no problems. engine will last longer on Synthetic because the oil lasts longer and bonds better. also if you have any oil leaks like me (minor) it is safer.
