Valve cover removal
i need to change my BACK valve cover gasket . I was wondering if all i had to do was take off the intake manifold and then valve cover of will be runnig into other things that are not visible. and is there anything special i have top do when taking either of the two off? any help is appreciated guy /gals thanx

yea, all you have to do is take off the intake manifold and all of the antifreeze hozes that are attached to it, also mark your vacuum lines, so you know what order to put it back together. And get a torque wrench if you can, to tighted the IM bolts/nuts.
The other thing, I don't know if you already knew that: cover the intake inlets in both head so you don't get anything in there, and follow the online shop manual.

Also it would be wise to clean the inside of your intake manifold!

Break Part Cleaner, dont lose the straw.

I forgot,
you can use the cleaner and the metal brush on the intake runners. After you are done scrubbing wash it away with the cleaner.

Make SURE that you use a good torque wrench to tighten up the velve cover bolts. They are speced to 10 lbs. I believe. I know becuase I broke one off at about 12 Lbs. Not fun, if one breaks you have to remove the whole valve cover and get a new bolt then retorque all the bolts again.
