Re: Where to find LSD tranny?
He is right Perry, the ZE also came in MX-6s and the Eunos. They both had a manual tranny optional. They are also the curved neck ZEs not the straight neck. So you can get them, in fact Brian and I are probably going to get two of them to save on shipping.

Re: Ecu ?
That is probably a OBD2, because of its year, and won't work unless you are running a OBD2 KL-ZE. I've never heard of anyone doing that and I know that you can't run a OBD2 in a MX-3 b/c they didn't make OBD2 V-6s.

Re: New to Audio : What to Get/How-to Install?
I think that the best way to purchase your first stereo system is to get a friend who know a something about car audio and go with them. Let them show you about price and product. You can get a killer stereo for a small budget, but you need to know what you are looking for. Start with a head-unit an...

Re: Die-cast or model MX-3s?
Been looking since 97' and found nothing. I also would be interested in a model, but unless you want to try to make one out of another kit I think you are screwed.

Re: Best Power Mods
Cold air intake and exhaust are both relativly cheap and give decent power for the 1.8L, then save up and do research on the KL-ZE swap. Use the search function on this site for the ZE info.

Re: just wondering
Hate to contradict a moderator, but yes it can. I've been running the ZE straight neck on mine for over a year now and no problems. I have talked with MX3man at legnth and we did almost the same thing. Funny b/c we didn't consult each other, just found the same way to do it.

Re: Ignition lead not flush....
Clarify your question a bit. What ignition lead are you talking about that connects to the manifold? Where on the manifold does it connect? Maybe you are using a different name for something, but I don't have a clue where there is an ignition lead on the manifold. Usually when you tap the gas and it...

Re: Exahust question
Mnemonic, from MOCA, had a Pacesetter and it rusted out in about two months. In Georgia that should never have happened. He noticed it starting in a few weeks and called Pacesetter, they told him tough luck. I have a flowmaster exhaust on my ZE (headers, cat, 2.5 pipe) It sounds great untill 4k rpm ...

Re: KL03 Distinguising characteristics
There are a couple of stamps that will let you know. I'm not sure what they read on the KL-03, but the K8 (stock motor) reads K8101 on the heads. You probably can't read it with the engine in the car though. Your best bet it to look at the intake and see if it is different.

Re: Vote: KL-ZE OR B6T?
I agree with the streetable thing, but i love the red light races where the ZE power pours out the torque steer and I have to fight to stay out of the other guys car. But, a lsd should help that and maybe letting the pedal down alittle easier.

Re: KLZE suppliers in Florida
My point exactly, I thought the price of one good one was worth several crappy ones. They are all leak down and compressoin tested before being taken from the trannys, any wo don't pass certain numbers get trashed. I don't remember the cut off line, but I asked a mechanic (Nascar engine builder) aft...
