in the under hood fuse box there is a black relay in the corner of the fuse box nearist to the air filter housing. 1st try tapping on it & wiggel it & try to start again if no go than pull relay and jump term 3&4 togeather [ithink] if you look at the relay there is a diagram on it tellin...

check voltage drop to motor ground. connect dvom black to batt neg connect dvom red to head or block. with engine running should be less than .3 vdc if higher check neg batt cable or use some jumper cables to temporarly replace neg cable. conect i side of jumper to neg batt term and other to head or...

how are you testing for spark? try testing at the coil. did you hook up both of the small ground wires? there is one by the firewall on the intake & one by the distrubtor on i little bracket. also try checking for injector pulse using a test light on the injector harness while unpluged. are the ...

yea engine & trans are tough to kill. low coolant or oil will do it tho.

k8 or kl trans is reliable to 250 whp. im pushing 300+ & i break a trans every 10to 15 drag races.

code 4 is no crank positon signal to ecm from distrubtor.

repalce your distrubtor .hei mod wont help

code 9 water temp sensor problem can cause poor or erattic idle

16 & 69 both are egr codes can also cause idle probs but unlikely.

so replace dis. and test temp sensor circut

you would have to be an idiot to suck up water with that....i've never seen water splash forward of the tire...and if you submerged the filter you would be submerging the engine in water too and if you did that you deserve to have your block crack to teach you a lesson.i've been runnin this set up ...

in texas egr failures are rare it is allways the vacume solinoids. ither they are dead of the vacume lines are mis routed. the solinoids are mounted on a plate behind the tb if you have a k8. if you unplug the electrical wire and test the sol. with an ohm meter you should have a steady 13 - 15 ohms....
