that version looks way cheap. it may cause f.o.d.
increasing part throttle swirl in the intake stream can help airflow efficiency on prehistoric engines like the small block Chevy , ford ,doge not a 4valve per cylinder mazda
don't waist your money on that piece of dookie.

i had a customers car with a very similar list of symptoms and after i adjusted the timing
replaces the ect & connector
repaired broken wire at tps on the idle switch portion not the tps sweep signal

in the under hood fuse box there is a black relay in the corner of the fuse box nearist to the air filter housing.
1st try tapping on it & wiggel it & try to start again
if no go than pull relay and jump term 3&4 togeather [ithink]

you would have to be an idiot to suck up water with that....i've never seen water splash forward of the tire...and if you submerged the filter you would be submerging the engine in water too and if you did that you deserve to have your block crack to teach you a lesson.i've been runnin this set up ...

in texas egr failures are rare it is allways the vacume solinoids. ither they are dead of the vacume lines are mis routed.
the solinoids are mounted on a plate behind the tb if you have a k8.
if you unplug the electrical wire and test the sol. with an ohm meter you should have a steady 13 - 15 ohms ...
