Sorry about that, I thought there used to be a profile option that gave the email address. That might have been the old style, or I might be thinking of a different forum.

Anyway, send to csdude@hotmail.com

Kit sides

Here I go again... I'm still working on installing the Drift kit to my '92. Today, I got around to doing the sides, but Geez! I think I wore my Dremmel out, and only got one installed. I'm an inch away from just forgetting about the sides, and being happy with the front and rear! After all the cutti...

I'll be the odd guy out on this one... I like the rear, personally. I can't really tell what the front looks like, and haven't looked it up at all, so it might not go with that particular front like bubbaflatt said, but the rear would have gone well with the Drift kit I'm working on now. And for the...

I tried that this evening, but unfortunately it just didn't have the depth. The OEM lights are about 4" deep including the part the bulb goes in, but I only have about 3" from the metal bumper frame to the outside of the kit. So had I put these in, they would stuck out funny. I'm going to ...

I might be interested. Can you email me a pic and details? What size are they?

How much are you looking to get? I don't know what they're worth, but I'm on a tight budget, so the cheaper, the better.

Thanks for the link, I'm reading those FAQs now.

Since I'll be priming just the body kit, is there a difference between the $2/ can primer and the $75/ gallon primer? Well, I'm sure there's a difference, but is it a NOTICEABLE difference?

Thanks, Fry, that does help. Not what I was hoping to hear, though, since I'm sure that's going to be another $100 out of my paint budget, but at least it looks OK.

Any tips on painting?

Since I've just installed a new kit, I'm going to try my hand at my first real paint job. I'm usually an interior guy, and have had plenty of experience with fiberglass and painting, but this is my first exterior project. I'm sure I'll end up doing it twice, since I'm almost certain to screw up the ...

Any luck installing front signal in body kit?

I had mentioned before, I'm installing a Drift kit from KrazyKustomz.com on my '92 4-banger. It's working out OK (aside from some pretty big gaps in certain places), but there's nowhere to install the front signal lights. As far as I can tell, these are required in NC, so I have to find a way to get...

I had my first ticket in the MX3 about a month ago, but I was totally shafted. I had just gone from a 55 zone to a 45 zone, and was in the middle of slowing down, but a state trooper U-turned after me, anyway. Said he clocked me at 60 in a 45, which was BS: he clocked me at 60 in a 55, sure, but I w...

I just finished installing a Drift kit a few days ago, and had it on the road for the first time today. I swear, a curve that I use to take at 45, I can now do at 60! My other car is a Sunbird, and the best I can do with it on this curve is 35. So this is a MAJOR increase. Can't wait to paint the ca...

I have a standard 4-cylinder stick '92, and love it to death. I've had it for 2 years now, and even though I took it for a piece of crap when I bought it, I found that most of the issues it had were from lack of maintenance and very minor. So far, I've gone through a new distributor ($40) and timing...

'92 Drift Kit, install questions

I had posted on here before that I had bought a Drift kit for my '92, but just got around to starting the install last night. I successfully installed the front bumper, which I figured would be the hardest part (took about 3 hours by myself). There are a few minor details that I'm not 100% sure abou...

WTB 92 Distributor for 1.6

I've got to buy a distributor for my '92 1.6L. I'm sharing cars with my girlfriend and it SUCKS, but I don't want to throw $250-300 on this thing at Autozone, either.

Email me with pricing, shipped to NC (28659). mx3@gowilkes.com

Re: Difference between MX3 and MX3 GS

I tried to find out about the recall awhile back. Mine is electric seat belt, of course, and the cable that goes back and forth in the rail came loose from the part that spins. I spoke with one Mazda lot that said this was not covered with the recall, but he couldn't tell me exactly what IS covered....
