Re: Clutch kit for KLZE swap
As far as clutches go for the KLZE swap you want to get a mx-6 clutch, its a little larger in diameter compaired to the mx-3. You will want to get a heavy duty kit as well. Like a stage one or two. Clutchmasters, ACT Bully are all good brands. I just finished my KLZE swap back in december. I bought ...

Re: ecu help
There are 4 bolts all together. 2 in the front and two right behind the ECU. Here is the diagram i used to remove my ECU when i was checking to see if it could be chipped http://mx-3.com/manuals/photo.php?file=/1992%20Workshop%20Manual/F2/92_F2-143.gif&download=1" onclick="window.open(...

Re: KLZE swap DONE!
Yes i installed the pluming for the EGR. I plugged the EGR port on the intake manifold and used the EGR port on the rear header.

Re: KLZE swap DONE!
I put 150 miles on the car today with out any hitch. I finished hooking up the rest of the exhaust this morning and decided it was time to put it through an endurance test. I drove up to my grand parents house which is about 65 miles away. I was doing 70-75 mph the whole way with no issues. The car ...

KLZE swap DONE!
I just wanted to update my progress on my KLZE swap. I posted a few weeks ago a thread with KLZE questions and got a lot of support from fellow members. I just finished the swap in my 1992 MX-3 K8 with 266k miles on it with a super clean and fresh KLZE. I have to say i am very happy with the end res...

WTB Chip-able K8 ECU
I have a 92 mx-3 and turns out i forgot about checking my ECU before doing the swap. I have a perfectly good and working K8 ECU that is not chip-able.
I am looking for someone that has a spare chip-able K8 ecu. The ECU needs to come from a 93-94 OBD-I mx-3
PM me if you have one
Thanks
-Derek

Re: What engine did i just buy/KLZE build thread
Well i have moved on passed the EGR stage and have that mostly figured out. Now the next snag in the road and something i completely forgot about until today when i went to order a probinator chip... I forgot to check my ECU at the start of the conversion to see if it could even be chipped, well i j...

Re: What engine did i just buy/KLZE build thread
So are you saying for the EGR that i bolt it to the engine block, hook up the electrical wires, but the all the other lines like the vacuum and such i should plug on the EGR and just route the lines past the EGR instead of through the EGR, does that make since?

Re: What engine did i just buy/KLZE build thread
Guess out of the hours of searching here i somehow missed this post: http://mx-3.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=65958" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Explaining the details of the EGR. So i gather from reading this post that since i will be running a K8 ecu chipped with...

Re: What engine did i just buy/KLZE build thread
Ok i have been making some good progress. I have been doing the swap entirely my self and its a first for me also. Anyways first question has to do with the EGR. I have spent a lot of time searching here and either the answer is vague, the linked post is broken, or photos are broken. So i know the K...

Re: klze dealer near Oregon?
You can call for prices but the KLZE's are 899$ plus shipping and any tax, being in oregon you wont have tax, just the motor and shipping costs.
