Eunos steering wheel fitment

Post by hotsiit »

Hey, I have a 4-spoke eunos steering wheel on my usdm mx-3. It fits the splines fine...the issue I am having is that the wiper and turn signal stalks are now so close to the wheel, that my hands hit either of them when turning the wheel. I forgot to get a pic of how close they are.

Basically just wondering if anyone using a euro wheel on a usdm mx3 had the same problem? and how you remedied?

I may try spacing the wheel further out (horn probably wont work then) or get another column stalks and try to bend them back further..

they make boss hub spacers so the wheel sits away from the switches a bit. I ebay has some

Kull, if I read it right Hotslit isn't using one of those style wheels, it's one of those OEM ones on a Eunos so theres nowhere to put a spacer as it bolts right to the splined part.

My racing wheel was like that. Was annowing at first, but you get used to it and just flicking the arms with your fingers ;)

Never really had an issue with mine other than the USDM plastics seemed to rub the back of the wheel...

if you have cruise control and want to put it back, just cut a small piece off the center part where you can see mine, looks neat

I relocated the cruise control controls to the steering column cover. You can substitute the stock controls for any pair of momentary push buttons and mount them where you wish.
