ok i will sugest this for those of you who are not techno savy
for the price of a ms1 board plus say 20$ for materials to solder i could assemble your kit and send it all as one so all you would have to do is splice into the original ecu(instructions included)

if everyone is interested i could contact diyautotune and see about bulk buy discounts
as far as hassle gos all you have to do is remove a panel to see the ecu, splice the needed wires with splice connectors, and clip the 3? wires from the mass air flow sensor and run them to the map sensor which could be included.

feedback??????

still waiting to hear from jw motor sports...

plus the design would have to be a little extravagant and may not have room due to the mx3s limited under hood space...
could just do like the old days though and have velocity stacks through the hood....
its feasible....
Yeah, they'd ned to be truly independant from eachother. I've tried to talk to Leo. He's like Yoda (Vaughn); too busy working on stuff to be online.
I wouldn't mind having to have a hood scoop

when jw FINALLY responds to me ill see if maybe he doesn't have a k8/klze manifold or at least a gasket to go by
the main issue you'll be facing is the flow of air. your intake will be almost smothered being as its directly under the hood hince the scoop
ill see what i can do about the throttle bodies to give you a definate

what about just a three pack?

Can't wait! I've been looking into doing that too for mine, and I was looking at itb setups for miata's. they were going for 2,500. Hopefully yours will be a bit more feasible.

I really like this. I am not a mechanically inclined fellow. If you could do a basically complete bolton part with an MS piggyback or somethin I would be really down for this. I love custom mx3 parts!

Well I contacted diyautotune and as of this moment the product will be about $160 for the v2.2 ms1, db9 to usb conversion w/ cable (for tuning), and necessary wiring for me to make the pigtail. The haven't replied yet as to a discount but Im sure if i can get at least ten of you to commit i could get a good chunk knocked off.

still no word from jw....im thinking he may have fell off the side of the earth...
hes the only thing im waiting on for a final price

I do have a question, what the estimated horsepower gain with this and would you need a header like the one that corksport is bringing out.

To give you a rough estimate, I made 124WHP on a stock BP with header back 2.25", but low compression numbers (highest 125psi lowest 100psi, they are supposed to be at 180psi) Stock BP puts out 109WHP

thanx mx43vur

roughly a 50 hp gain over stock
headers are not needed but will help
all natural aspiration mods are relative, meaning installing a header will give you x horsepower and installing a camshaft will give you y horsepower but installing both will give you x + y = xy + z% gain
assuming you've taken algebra.....
