This would be an awesome investment into a racecar. At our track were allowed to do headers and if you say it adds an extra 10 HP, then that would be excellent! Were rarely teched (in terms of taking the engines apart) so a miata cam would help out too HAH.

Back to the header though, again this would be an excellent addition to the car :D

I am having problems getting the dyno sheet into a picture format. The peak hp gains are 8 whp and 3 torque on a stock 1.6 Mx3 DOHC. This is measuring just the peak power vs peak power. What that doesn't tell is the gains at higher RPM with the power does drop a bit. The torque gains at 6200 RPM is about 6 at the wheel comapared to stock. The HP gain at 6200 is 10 at the wheels compared to stock.

So we have 3 people interested here? I think I have several other guys from Spain and France interested as well. I am not sure if this enough to get us to 15 people.

I'm interested, I've just been waiting on a rough estimate of the cost. I don't want to be dropping $400 on this thing when I could get a BP and/or a new suspension for less than that. I've never priced headers so $400 may be way too high.

i am also intersted, however it depends on the price of course.
I remember the Genie header went for a couple hundred dollars...

But you look at say, some stainless mx6 / probe headers, and one can pick them up for under a hundred.

If you price them modestly, they will sell, guaranteed.
The audience beyond mx-3.com for headers for the B6 is larger than you think.

The genie headers were $242 when we still had them available. That was for a mild steel header that terminated at the oil pan for the DOHC engines. The header we are proposing to build it a bit more expensive in material cost but not alot.

I think we should be able to get the 15 people needed to get them for the $299 price. Let me know with a post yes or no if you would be down for that.

Thanks

no, it's 300 US currency, not pounds.

Corksport is based in US.

300 US is less in pounds
