FLYWHEEL HELP
well it's GOTTA be the flywheel... the new pressure plate fits on the old flywheel. The old pressure plate doesn't fit on the new flywheel either...
Part number on the fidanza box is 161161 Code: M1
I dunno what to say... it seems like the flywheel is right... I know Joey said his fidanza worked just fine...definitely lost as to what I can do.

oh and btw two final pics... both flywheels beside eachother and both pressure plates too. Flywheels look really similar, but as you can probably tell, the locating dowels are further apart and the bolt holes are different too. Pressure plates are the same.

You will note the little weights on the srpings, these are part of centerforce's selling point. Your clutch is not right or its not a centerforce. This should be a picture of a centerforce I you can also goto google images and get quite a few pictures of the said example.

Yeah. As I said the disc says exedy on it. The pressure plate kind of looks like an exedy too. I just bought a exedy miata pressure plate and they look similar (different colors though)
The centerforce box didn't look opened, and the pressure plate and friction disc were both bolted down in the box, so I don't know what to think.

just to make things crystal clear for myself....what exactly did you end up with mx3-miata wise with your final working production?
example: miata 1.6L fidanza flywheel
miata or mx3 clutch?
miata or mx3 pressure plate?
your help would be greatly appreciated
