Thanks Pat. Does your advice apply to the rain gutter, the window seals, or all three?

External seals coming away - need fix.

Guys, I have three seals which are coming away from the car - I guess the adhesive has got too old! 1. The rain gutter, on the RHS of the roof, has become disconnected at the back. (~6") 2. The rubber seal around the rear tailgate glass is coming away from the tailgate, down towards the spoiler...

Let me try to answer the questions... Crappy squeeze clips? Yes, they came with the car! The jubilee ones I mention are the screw-type you refer to. Bad thermostat? Unlikely, as the radiator gets nice and hot. Hot running? The "just above half-way" reading is one which has been the same si...

Radiator woes

Had a big service done a few hundred miles ago: new plugs, leads, fuel filter, air filter, oil and filter, rocker-cover gaskets; also had the coolant replaced. Well, you know what they say about new coolant finding leaks and weak points... anyway the radiator developed a leak, at the edge of the rad...

Guys, I have a similar idle problem - started a few days ago. Was worried that something was seriously wrong with the engine, but after reading this thread (plus a few others) I checked all my pipes/hoses. Sure enough today I have found a 1.5" vertical crack in the big tube that connects the ai...

Had my rears discs and pads replaced today. Collected the car, and as soon as I got 2 yards down the road I realised it didn't feel right - brake pedal feel had totally gone! When the pedal was depressed it went almost right down to the floor before "engaging", previously this was <2"...

Thanks guys! After following that URL I can confirm that I need the beige housing as well as the lens. http://corksport.com/store/image/bd0o/mx3-exterior_misc_/E-SPEC_Clear_Signal_Housings_pair.jpg $150 (not including shipping from US to Ireland) seems pricey! I must be able to source from a breaker...

Front Indicator lens broken...

Guys, please take a look at http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=55913

Put it in the General MX-3 area, but I guess it is more of a European question.

Thanks

Pete.

Indicator lens broken

Guys, my fiancee's stupid sister has reversed into my beloved MX-3! '93 E-Spec V6 in Black. The bumber is damaged, but I think it will polish-out; the main damage is to the driver's-side front indicator unit. This unit is held in by one screw, has a clear lens on the front, and two bulb-holde...

Just stumbled upon this thread, whilst browsing.

http://www.fordprobestore.co.uk are now offering a few MX-3 items, with a lot more planned, input from owners welcome.
What a cracking find! I'll definitely be ordering some bits and bobs from them.

Having done further testing I believe that I am suffering from intermittant flat-spots caused by the VRIS only partially working. This is particularly noticeable when the engine is cold.

Any suggestions on what to lubricate the VRIS rods and connecting arms with? WD40?

The Mazda Owner's Manual I have (8B88-EE-91E) simply doesn't show a CEL. It does show RHD and LHD models. The top left inidicator on the LHD is apparently Low Washer Fluid... Maybe European MX-3 (like Japanese ones?) don't have a CEL on the dash cluster, and you have to wire your own LED in???

Forgive my stupidty, but where exactly is the CEL? I just turned my key to the "ON(II)" position, and most of the lights came on: Charging system, Oil Pressure, Brakes & Stop Light (in fact the entire RHS group, all red). On the LHS the ABS light comes on (orange), and by acitivating t...

I have only owned one, and count myself very lucky that I seemed to have stumbled across a winner first time!

My '93 E-Spec V6 is black with only 75K on the clock.

Sanity check, please!

Not sure if I'm imagining it, but it seems like my engine has a lot more power than it did two days ago. In the 2750-4250rpm range it seems to have much more "push" than it did before, and pick-up throughout the rev range seems improved. When I got home today I opened the bonnet/hood, blip...
