Whether it's moved by hand-power or electrical power, it's still an actuator and it moves the window up/down. It's a wire-cable wrapped in some sort of rubber (kinda like a clutch or throttle cable) attached to some hardware and (depending on the engineering solution) possibly some gears which trans...

I don't know how I'd convert to a 3-prong or 5-prong. Nobody has a 4-prong 40A relay. I'm in touch with one of the mx-3.com members who's parting out a car, so I may be able to pull his, including the harness (since mine is as gone as the relay). That would be the ideal solution. If you can give me ...

Ok, I'm going ballistic. CT doesn't have any 4-prong relays in stock and they can't even order them. Same with Partsource. Napa might be able to order one from a supplier, but who knows how much it would cost. In any case both the relay and the harness look like they were dipped in some nasty tree-s...

Thank you gentlemen. I'll take a look at it this evening. I don't care about the LED either, as long as I can see what's behind me. I'm not 100% sure about the relay... I already replaced the defog fuse, so all I have to do is replace the meter fuse. If it doesn't work, then I'll know it's the relay...

Defroster relay

I have 2 questions on this topic: 1) Where do I locate it? (I know it's somewhere underneath the dash of my 95RS but there are several relays down there, so I don't know which one it is) 2) Do I have to buy it at the dealership for $30 or is there a place in the GTA where I can buy it for a more rea...

Thanks. I'll definately give'em a shout. And they're fairly close to my place, almost next to my old high school.

How do you recognize which relay's for the defogger if it's not clicking? (95 RS)

Do I have to get it at the stealership or can I get it at the canadian tire or parts source for less $$$?

Why did he hardwire them? A thermoswitch can't cost more than like $30-50 and it's easy to replace. What an idiot. Anyways, I only know people in the GTA (west end) but I do know a couple of places where you can get a decent deal. I'd get quotes from them (just for the pump/belt) and then shop aroun...

Try re-applying muffler cement first. And wear latex gloves while doing it, unless you wanna subject your hands to a whole lot of scrubbing :P

They shouldn't. And in that case, it may be a better bet to get'em custom-bent at an independent muffler shop.

Before you go out and splurge on a new rim, take it to a small independent shop, and ask the guy to take off the tire, hammer out the rim and install/balance it. It might just do the trick and shouldn't set you back more than $20. 25 if he wants to charge you $10 for 3 whacks with a hammer. It worke...

$10 -- Coathanger (not worth the $$$/time) $20-30 -- MIG (probably the best alternative for the MX exhaust system) $30-40 -- Arc (the metal's too thin, so an arc-weld may even puncture some additional holes) Those prices are in CDN dollars, in the greater Toronto area, based on the occasional welds ...

And if you're also replacing the rotors, you don't have to restrict your hammering to between the wheel studs. Even if you're not planning on it, you might as well do it every time you're replacing the pads. Rotors are relatively cheap, easy to replace and rear pads don't get worn nearly as much as ...
