Re: computer people

It is good to hear that you got it installed. Just to let you people know, XP does not have "real-mode" DOS....thus the reason that you had to boot to a floppy (so that it would boot to the system files on the floppy). You might have been able to boot to the CD if you had changed the boot ...

Re: Miata header

You know, with a little knowledge and effort, you can make your own header. Just use the stock manifold as a template and then measure, cut, bend, weld, and uh.....create a bung for the O2 sensor. Ok....maybe it is a little more involved, but it can be done.

Re: Finally got some rims for the wife's car.

Yeah....I know that they can be painted, but I would like to aviod further costs if I can. I will not settle for just paint, they would have to be powdercoated....green!
I might end up doing that anyways...not too sure though.

Re: Finally got some rims for the wife's car.

Hey thanks everyone....just in case you were wondering...the graphics are paint...not stickers. Hard to tell in pics though...except for the hint of the pearlcoat. I am thinking of going with the Suspension Techniques brand....mainly because the price, but they are also grey, and give a nice drop......

I think the next step will be lowering springs and probably indiglo gauges. Many mods to come....just watch.

Finally got some rims for the wife's car.

Well. This is just one step on the way to getting the car ready for show. It is going to take a little time, but we are slowly getting there. Perhaps this year we can accelerate the process...since we now have a "little" more money to play with.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/srai...

Re: first time polishing(valve cover)

There is not really any way around it (besides maybe sandblasting).....it is going to take you several hours to get it to look right. My valve cover took me 6 hours (start to finish) doing it by hand. It is not exactly as shiny as I want it, but I will take it off sometime and finish the process. I ...

Re: first time polishing(valve cover)

Nice job. I used the same polish on my VC. I stripped the paint, sanded with a fine steel wool, and then polished with Mothers metal polish. I did all mine by hand....I need to pull it off and hit it with the buffing wheel (on a grinder).

Re: Texas Mx-3ers to meet?

Hey Zevirii,
I know man. I tried to warn you about it. People are a lot of talk....and no action. It kinda pisses you off when you try to organize a meeting and look forward to it for like 2-3 months and then no one shows.....too bad man....it's not your fault.

Re: a lil much?

We had our car done and it was over $300.
It has a slightly mirrorlike look to it and it is metalized. It is guaranteed not to fade or turn purple. It blocks out UV rays and makes a huge difference in heat blockage. It also came with a lifetime transferable warranty (he said that even if I intent...

Re: NEw way to park ur car! :)

I think it is real also. Look at the guy in the distance taking a photo of it. It looks like the person in the concorde put it in reverse and floored it. You can see that there is a parking space right in front of that handcapped car. That must have been where the concorde was parked. It would almos...
