Copyright infringement? What did I copy? Besides, haven't you heard, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"? You are the Man, Franko. Thanks again for the advice on my swap.

So far so good with the Pro LX O-rings. I only replaced the 1 that was leaking and thus far have had no problems. If it happens again, I will go through the dealer and get all 8.

Fixed it. The problem was the connecting hose on the intercooler inlet side. Air was escaping from it as I revved the engine. My friend saw some nearby grass get blown and I traced the air to that coupling. SON OF A %$#@&!!!!! The overboosting is probably what caused the bad seal there though. T...

Wow my vac lines were all messed up (I had tried some other ways to try to fix this problem before you posted Franko). So now I have them all like you said, but the car is still bucking like before. Could the wastegate be stuck? :(

No, no boost gauge yet. I've been trying to spend the bare minimum right now just to get it running. Stock BOV. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution intercooler (big). Piping is ran around those tow hooks underneath and up to either the turbo or stock pipe that goes up to the throttle body. Using the 93 harn...

Dyno in New York?

Can anyone recommend a place I can take my MX-3 to have the ECU tuned? I need to run it on a dyno and I am out in the sticks pretty much. I am about 2 hours north of NYC.

How long ago was your last tune up? How old are your spark plugs and wires? I recall a similar problem myself and I believe replacing those fixed it along with a general tune up.

Also noticed today that there is black smoke that comes from the exhaust each time the car bucks. So now I am thinking it gets too rich or something? Maybe not burning enough each time? Do I really need to upgrade the ignition to MSD or something?

I am using the GTX ECU (BP26). The problem happens at wide open throttle and everywhere in between. Any kind of acceleration. I also noticed today that in neutral, if I rev it up around 5000 or 6000 RPM it will vibrate and shake and then the RPMs will drop down without me letting off the gas. I veri...

BPT bucking past 3000 RPM

So finally I am attempting to drive the BPT with everything hooked up. Now I get a really bad bucking around 3000 RPM that repeats at even intervals as the RPMs climb toward redline. In other words, when accelerating (regardless of throttle position) it will be going fine, start spooling up and then...

BPT injector o-ring EMERGENCY

So when I first started my BPT, one of my injectors was spewing fuel. Okay, took an o-ring from the old MX-3 injectors and put it on the BPT injector. Seemed to fix the problem. Today I drove it to the muffler shop to do the exhaust work and smelled fuel. When I got there I opened the hood and saw a...

Oh yeah. I know for a fact you can disconnect both rods from the tranny while its all in the car. And I am pretty sure you can also take them off back where the shifter is too (under the car). Just put your car up on jack stands and check it out.

Ryan, is there a lot of stress on that power steering piping having it pulled way up from where it normally sits? (which would be around right in front of the intercooler)
