Is money no object or do ya know the cost difference to paint it a dif color instead of stock? Changing the color drastically means the engine bay paint won't match and same with door jambs, trunk hatch jamb etc. unless they get painted the new color too. Factory raspberry is a little too pink IMO. ...

Agree w/Vanished. Assuming the starter is cranking the motor over but it just won't run on it's own, couple things come to mind. Moisture in fuel lines can precipitate out at coldazz temps and freeze solid, blocking fuel delivery. Or, in general, on high mileage 130,000+ mile motors, disty can go ba...

I think Mazda changed the part sometime in mid '93 to the larger size. The earlier smaller size should be Mazda P/N E016-34-550 so whatever the autopart's store lists should x-ref with that #. The conditions and sequence you describe of overheating within 30 seconds of idle points to a likely malfunction with the radiator cooling fan not coming on when it should.
