A small update...After emptying the whole 40 litres of 98 fuel I subjectively find no performance gain and a small (coincidence?) economy boost (about 15-20 kilometers).
Today I refilled with 98 again, we shall see if this was not a coincidence

I think I am going to leave the idea with 98 octane fuel... The price has reached 1.1 Euro

What is the max gain you can get with a chip tuning on our Mx-3?
Did anyone with a completely stock Mx-3 V6 try that and could share the results?

I don't think we lost the low end power, if yes then not too much. For the most time when I overtake cars, I usually do it on the fifth gear...no need to reduce to lower one's :twisted: I do consider switching back to my old, stock muffler cause of the kick. Look at it this way, tuning the smallest V6 in the world is a bigger challange...and more expensive though...but the hell, 160 bhp is in the reach, not saying more if u drop a turbo...

Ok here is another question, do you think it is a good idea to put 4 speakers of the same type and size to the rear and back (for example 4 60 W RMS with tweeter embedded in the axis) or for example woofers to the rear and others to the front?

All of you V6 owners probably love those magic moments, when u reach 4 k rpms and feel the "V-tec" like kick (not as strong as vtec but still nice). Well I had this feeling when I had my standard exhaust with standard rear muffler on... Those days are gone, from the moment I bought my Mazd...

Thunder, you should easily pass 300 miles, cause 1.6 dohc in stock has lower fuel consumption then the V6 by an average of 1 - 1.5 liter.
