You can get the Protege one just make sure the engine is the same model. (sohc, dohc)4cyl. and if its 1.8l or 1.6l.

If they are ok no, but for sure they are going to blow in a few months. So better treat them nicesly.

I'm pretty sure the Protege will fit, just make sure its a dohc too and it will fit perfectly, I already did it with my 1.6 sohc from a Protege 1.6 sohc and it fits perfectly.

I don't understand exactly what are you asking, but about the topic, the price depends on were you buy the tranny, I bought my manual tranny on a junker out of a Protege '92 with everything, cluth, flywheel, pedals, shift, etc..., and it only cost me $600.00.

It depends on which is the look you want for your car, racing, or just styling. I believed polished is better.

Yeah you can put them. but the problem is that if there are of a v6 into a 4cyl, there different preasure so you car won't low that much because is a lighter engine and each srtut comes with a specification for each engine; but they should fit at least.
