of course it affects fuel milage... every combustion cycle requires a certain amount of fuel, based on the AFR. By that logic, unless you lean the combustion out to where the engine would completely be destroyed, the higher RPM you go to, the more fuel you burn. Simple physics. Completely untrue. A...

Why is everyone complaining about the rpm's? It's not damaging the engine, Its not effecting fuel mileage. That is just the way it is. The tranny is geared to get the most effective use of the engines power. High rpm's on the highway is what you end up with. Overdrive on any transmission is any gear...

In normal driving the abs not working will have no effect. Its when you go to do a panic stop that it will make a difference. The abs won't work and you'll lock up the brakes increasing your braking distance.

Go check out http://www.car-part.com Plenty of good motors on there. Depending on what you'll live with for mileage you can get them pretty damn cheap.

A KLDE shouldbe cheaper than a ZE. It makes 30hp less. You can get ZE's for ~$1k. DE's I think $500-$750. SO I would say yeah if you paid $1000 for a DE you paid to much.

FYI- HP does not break trannies, torque does. A better question is- how much torque can a stock tranny handle?

Its easier to look under the hood. There is a aluminum block with about 8 zillion brake lines coming out of it if you have abs.

Mine used to be exactly 3,500rpm @ 70mph in 5th, then... after timing belt change and some other belt replacements / dizzy replacement.... it's now 4,000rpm at 70mph!! Impossible some say... but i'm 100% sure. yes, impossible. rpm at speed is dependent on your transmission gear ratios. There is no ...

why are u sure it's your clutch? O2 sensors will have no effect on on top speed. They will also will not cause a backfire when the engine is cold. The O2 sensors are not being used at all by the ecu in either one of those scenarios. I'm pretty confident it is not the O2 sensors. There are three poss...

Unless your clutch is VERY bad it won't effect your RPM's at speed. If it was bad enough to effect the higher speeds it would take you a long time to get going from a stop. The engine would act as if it was disconnected from the drivetrain.

I think it fits. When I ordered my ground control camber/caster plates I remember the guy saying they were the same as the MX-6. I just checked their website and they only list the 1st gen MX-6 for the camber plates. So from that I'd think they are the same.
