Re: New tires but car feels unstable

i was once suckered into buying a set of nitto neo gens (they were cheap) and I HATED them. the worst tire i've ever used. look at the tread pattern. they're made for strait-line traction in mud and snow, not side-side stability. sorry about that man, but at least you know there is nothing wrong wit...

Fully analog adjustment mod for MSD window switch

Hey y'all. I've been wanting to tune my VRIS for a while now but don't like the gimmicky resistor pills for the MSD window switches. I wasn't sure that they were resisters, but assuming that they were I had been wanting to research replacing them with potentiometers. Doing a little Google search I f...

clear-coating headlights

So polishing your headlights is great... except that it never lasts long. I've read about this "Pactra racing finish" which is supposedly pretty awesome. But does anybody know if it prevents future oxidization? Has anybody tried polishing the headlights and then applying some normal spray-...

Re: stud replacement

definitely a job for a machine shop. i suppose you could reuse the wheel bearing with the other hub, too, but i personally wouldn't. they're about $35 at Napa + $8ish for the grease seal. the machine work would be around $50 if you're not getting ripped.

Re: stud replacement

I would imagine it's possible... but you probably would need a machine shop to pull the hub from the spindle first to allow clearance. Definitely not going to happen while it's on the car.

Did you strip a stud? I'd just replace the hub with an aftermarket OE replacement...

Re: Diference between kl31 and kl36 ecu?

Cause they are OBDII and ran a MAF So if the Millenia KL-ZE is OBDII, why is it so hard to swap one into a '94 + MX-3? I don't remember having to take any special wiring considerations for my ze swap other than the knock sensor... i personally don't know if the engine harness would be different bet...

Hey, thanks for the link. :) I actually found that a bit earlier.

To anyone else reading: I STILL WANT THEM USED IF POSSIBLE.

If anyone wants to quote me on some CHEAP honeycombs that would work too. Thanks y'all. :)

Re: [WTB] 15" OEM 5-spoke '94-'96 wheels

Thanks so much for the info.

I've searched the WTB, but of course will search more. :)

Any idea how much a set at the dealer would set me back? I'll have to give them a call.

Alright, just a pick update. I took a chance and ordered some skinny looking "Skyjacker" boots: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SJA%2DB10K&N=0&autoview=sku They totally fit the bill. I did have to cut them almost in half, and grind a good ammount ...

Well I got the boot/bump stop kit. Yes it is the same as in the picture above. With the spring and bump on the strut, with it a little compressed by hand (as if it was just sitting supporting the wieght of the car..) there is abou t 1/2 in of travel space before hitting the bump. I chopped/grinded a...
