I had a friend put them on his RS and it dropped the car about 1.5 and it looked and felt quite good. If the price is right, absolutely grab some!

I just rolled over 160000 km a few days ago. The car feels faster, more reliable and more fuel efficient than when I got it at 84000 km. Now THAT's a good feeling.

My friend has a GS and I have a 96 RS. We are both mad convinced that my RS is faster. Obviously it's not, but the shorter gear ratio and angry 4-banger noise make the RS feel just as fast, if it more. I've heard of this before. My friend's GS did the same thing. He went to the junkyard and pulled another GS ECU...never happened again. If it's free or close to it, it's worth a shot.
