Yeah, suffice to say I'm not going back to these guys after this. In fact, I'm considering not even going back to them to fix this. I may just take the new cat to a new shop and say "look, these idiots f*cked this up here, here and here. Can you do it right?" I mean technically everything ...

Ok, I just spoke with the mechanic. He tried to give me the song and dance, but I wouldn't take it. In the end he agreed to remove the additional pipe (turns out they didn't cut the exhaust system... whew) and install whatever CAT I brought him, be it the stock one or a hi flow cat, free of charge. ...

Yeah, I had to just reach my arm under there and snap wildly to get any pictures. Alright well, thanks for the help. I'll go in tomorrow first thing with my stock cat and tell them they need to reinstall the system while I'm there so I can watch what they're doing. And then this is the last time I t...

Well what exactly is "right"? I'm going in tomorrow and I need to know what to tell them to do. Obviously they need to install the cat right after the headers, and cut some of the exhaust off before the resonator to make it fit. And get rid of that additional piece of pipe and clamps... Wh...

I noticed that myself when I was taking the pictures. Maybe cause there's supposed to be a catalytic converter there? Or as someone said, the probe headers are longer?

Hmm interesting. Well, I just got home and pulled my car out into the driveway to have a look. I snapped some pictures to show you the system. I'm wondering if maybe they didn't cut it? It's hard for me to tell. The bit of pipe they installed, shortly after the resonator: http://www.ctrlaltdel-onlin...

Alright, well, as long as it's nothing serious. The car gets driven pretty regularly. It's only rarely that she sits for more than a day or two.

Really rough startup after inactivity?

92 GS with a KL-ZE. I went away for the weekend, and took a rental. Left the MX-3 in the garage. Came back 4 days later and when I started up my car, it started shaking really violently for for about 5-10 seconds, then died down into normal cold idle (RPMs steady around 1-2), and then after driving ...

Hehe but I started off buying one Sparco seat so I could see if I liked it, before spending another $500 for a second one. I can't very well get a feel for riding in the seat if it's on the other side of the car ;)

Seat installation

Well my Sparco Tourino seat just arrived. It looks and feels great. I'm going away for the weekend, but I'm hoping to get a sunny day next week so I can put it in. It's probably not going to just bolt up to the factory seat rails, so I have universal sliders that go with it. What's the best way to i...

[FS] Fiberglass Z3 Fenders

I ordered a set of Z3 fenders off of eBay. I'm not going to put them on my car. I won't lie to you... the fiberglass quality isn't wonderful. Not sure about fitment because I didn't install them, but I held them up to a stock fender and everything seems to be shaped properly. They're a good base to ...

Yeah, the original pic was Oscar's from Pakfeifer. My goal is to go for a sort of classy look. Nothing too "hey, look at me, everyone pay attention to me, my car is better than yours!" The MS front bumper is on its way from Pakfeifer. I've also got those KMAX sideskirts and the BC2 rear on...

Yeah, I came across that when I was doing searches about the headers. Was pretty helpful.
