Finding the front drain tubes
I had this problem, my MX-3 started leaking onto the passenger seat and into the footwell. I have a cracked windscreen and the cowel rubber seal at the bottom of the windshield is loose, I thought that was the problem and since the car has been off the road for a while I used a cover. This year I re...

Temporary Oil Leak when full
I have an oil leak that loses about 1/3 of a quart within a week and then stops leaking. The PCV valve seems to rattle ok, could it still be the culprit? I'm am a newbie with car mechanics, but am kind of assuming that the leak must be high up somewhere where not all that much oil reaches, like the ...

It will probably cost $200+ just to take the tranny off the car and put it back on again. I got quoted $450 to have a new clutch kit installed. Anyway, try the bushings, someone posted some nyoil bushings that are avaliable, as well as the SRD and mazda bushings. Think it was a new post http://www.i...

Heh yeah, I would have gotten the third link only SRD said that they had discontinued the engine mount member bushings. Cork Sport had a shipment of the engine mount bushings so I ordered all the shifter bushings I could get from cork. I'll put the rest of the bushings in, and if its still sloppy I'...

Did you replace it with an OEM clutch. I'm going to get mine done soon as it slips like crazy when its hot. Here its $450 for the labor + $130 for an OEM replacement clutch. Some people have said that the OEM clutch is a bit weak and the MX6, 626, Probe GT for the 2.5 K series engine is a straight s...

Here's the condition of my old bushings after 169,000 miles. http://www.tysoes.com/Oldbushings.jpg Here's what the Bronzoil bushings look like on the car. You can see the nice shiny metal a lot easier than the old plastic bushings. Front http://www.tysoes.com/frBronze.jpg Back http://www.tysoes.com/...

Going to have to get a long 12mm socket or a seperate wrench for the extension rod, and 14mm 17mm socket for the engine member mount bushings. THanks for the pointer regarding the member mount bushings PATDIESEL, the instructions in the PDF aren't that clear. Hopefully it will all make sense when I ...

Ah, figured it out after playing with the thing. the front ones are mounted verticaly not horizontaly. Having put the bronzoil bushes in, It's probably going to be better to take photo's with the shiny new bushings in since its so much easier to see whats what. Still quite a lot of left right moveme...

Mazdas have always focused on affordably sporty cars and have always had the best chasis, suspension and handling for racing. They do tend to go more for fun than all out speed. There's a reason that the Miata is one of the biggest racing series, and thats because its the best bang for $ RWD sports ...
