Decided to do what i should have done years ago in 2006. Build the BP up starting to see low 12 sec passes about time but its time to go even lower. In the mean time be posting as i go through here's a start for now as im getting ready to pull the engine out. Touching up on things i have put on hold...

Not for long weak point is the differential if abuse regularly, its a f-series trans u currently have given that ur mx-3 is a 5spd. The g-series is a lil stouter but not by much same weakness. There is a mazda and kia g-series trans versions.

ok, first of, the pic you posted is NOT a BP miata. that is a 90-93 miata which used the B6 engine, not the BP he is looking for. second, 97 miatas DID NOT have VICS, only started in 98-99 (NB or 2nd gen) 3rd, the head off the 99 will bolt up to ANY BP engine, in fact, it's a very commong upgrade i...

I have a 1.6 sohc and i don't see how it ever had a v-belt design unless ur mistaking it for a bp underdrive pulley

Humm no faith in a BP makes sense I have no faith in a K-series or BP-T but that's just a opinion.
