In the mean time be posting as i go through here's a start for now as im getting ready to pull the engine out. Touching up on things i have put on hold...

Not for long weak point is the differential if abuse regularly, its a f-series trans u currently have given that ur mx-3 is a 5spd. The g-series is a lil stouter but not by much same weakness. There is a mazda and kia g-series trans versions.

Re: Mazda miata Engine to mx3 rs?
ok, first of, the pic you posted is NOT a BP miata. that is a 90-93 miata which used the B6 engine, not the BP he is looking for. second, 97 miatas DID NOT have VICS, only started in 98-99 (NB or 2nd gen) 3rd, the head off the 99 will bolt up to ANY BP engine, in fact, it's a very commong upgrade i...

Re: Mazda miata Engine to mx3 rs?
I think i will pass through..Too much modification and headache And it might wont bolt on in the end.. Its easier with the 94-98 miata bp swap parts from a FWD BP to get the job done. example INTAKE MANIFOLD, windage try, oil pan, thermostat housing, installing a freeze plug, valve cover, side moto...

Re: pulley fitment question!!!
I have a 1.6 sohc and i don't see how it ever had a v-belt design unless ur mistaking it for a bp underdrive pulleyMapaX5 wrote:Sorry to correct yall in here. but they are NOT interchangeable.
92 SOHC uses a V-belt design, while the DOHC uses a cerpentine belt.

Humm no faith in a BP makes sense I have no faith in a K-series or BP-T but that's just a opinion. Ryan let the guy do what ever he wants to do seems like he wants to be different and that's ok more power to him. Everyone has there set ways as do I and you as well. To seawulff, good luck into what u...
